Merton Hall Farmhouse is the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Centre provided by the University, and co-ordinated by the Chaplain to University Staff. It is situated on the West Cambridge site, on the corner of J. J. Thompson Avenue and Madingley Road. For a sat-nav, use: CB3 0FD,  For a map: click here

The centre is available for use by chaplains, small groups and individuals at the discretion of the Chaplain and in accordance with ‘Prevent’ policy; bookings and access must be arranged in advance. Please contact the chaplain: chaplain@gsm.cam.ac.uk

Facilities at Merton Hall Farmhouse include:

  • Common Lounge – max 12 persons – with easy chairs, coffee tables and a selection of toys for children
  • Common Kitchenette – kettles, fridge, microwave, hot-plate, hot/cold water, basic cutlery & crockery
  • Meeting Room (ground floor) – max 12 persons – with 2 tables and 12 upright chairs
  • Meeting Room (first floor) – max 12 persons – with cushions and mats for meditation
  • 1 Prayer Room designated for Muslims
  • Toilet with access/aids for the physically disabled, nappy changing & ablution (wudu) facilities
  • Office – available to chaplains for  1:1 consultations etc.- with telephone and computer
  • CU-Lapwing – wireless internet hotspot
  • Bicycle Parking available
