The Church Shop and Michaelhouse Café
The Church Shop offers a wide range of guides, souvenirs, gifts, and music, as well as religious, children’s and local books.
The Michaelhouse Café is just up Trinity Street from Great St Mary’s, serving fresh, seasonal home-made food featuring delicious locally sourced produce. The Café offers breakfast and lunch menus, as well as freshly made sandwiches and cakes, excellent tea and coffee, and cream teas with home-made scones for the afternoons. Open 8.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday–Saturdays. 10% discount with your Tower ticket.
Brass Rubbing and Family Activities
During school holidays, we offer free family activities and an Explorer’s Pack for children.
We also have brass rubbing with five replica brasses to choose from, including Sir Roger of Trumpington and St George and the Dragon. For just £3 you can create your own souvenir.
Interactive Touchscreens and Kings & Queens film
Explore 800 years of Cambridge history with our interactive touchscreens and a short film showing royal links with Cambridge through the centuries.
There is a toilet suitable for disabled visitors in the South Lobby, and disabled parking spaces on King’s Parade near the church. A loop system operates in the nave. However, there is no lift access to the galleries or the tower.
