Worship lies at the heart of the Christian life. It is in worship that we express our theology and define our identity. It is through encountering God within worship that we are formed, and transformed, as God’s people. Our worship leads to wide outreach and partnerships in mission at home and abroad.
Our worship brings modern concerns to the long-standing traditions of Anglican liturgy. Great St Mary’s has four choirs, and choral music brings beauty and spiritual depth to our prayers. Throughout the year we explore different, creative ways to pray as a community.
Children are always welcome! On our Children’s Page, you can find out more about Parish Communion, Children’s Church, the Ark, communion, and confirmation classes and more.

The St Andrew’s Chapel in the north-west corner of the church is a space set aside for private prayer. You are welcome to sit or kneel here and enjoy quiet time with God. At the entrance you can light a candle and write a prayer if you wish. The Blessed Sacrament is reserved in the St. Andrew’s Chapel.
